Now the group, led by Jefferson Area Tea Party chair Bill Hay and Keith Drake of the Albemarle Truth in Taxation Alliance, will bring their petition, signed on April 15, to Congressman Tom Perriello. They plan to visit his office at 4pm on Friday following speeches at the Free Speech Monument. Among their grievances: "burgeoning spending, corporate and bank bailouts, as well as nationalization of healthcare."I think it classy that Rep. Perriello is meeting face-to-face with his staunchest critics to discuss their concerns.

Tea Partiers to Meet with Perriello

Two thoughts...one) Perriello voted against the budget and opposed the Wall Street Bailout...sooooo....
two) Nationalized Health Care? Where is it? I don't see it...I do see 47 million uninsured...are they protesting that it's only 47 million?
I agree with John...just what are they protesting???????
Better yet, what do they suggest we do? Do we continue with business as usual on health care, where the 47 million Americans make too much for Free Clinics and not enough to afford Private Health Insurance? How much do they suggest our Federal Budget should be and what do they want to cut? I still haven't heard any workable suggestions, let alone a viable solution, from this bunch.
I would like to know if this same group of 'tea-baggers' (sorry, I can't resist) went to Goode and protested about our kids being murdered over in a country that we needlessly invaded? Did they complain about the BILLIONS of dollars going to the senseless war? Did they complain about how our heroes do not even have the protection they need to stay safe?
If they have not done the above mentioned, they do not deserve to be heard at Congressman Perriello's office.
They are not true Americans. They are just picking on Tom and are bad sports because Goode didn't win.
I wish someone would pubish their email address or telephone number so I could ask them personally.

I don't quite agree with Anonymous. You have a constitutional right to both privacy and hypocrisy. They just don't have a right to their own facts.
Anonymous is so funny. Wants to know if someone could publish the emails or phone numbers so they could confront the people from the tea party. Coming from someone who wants to remain anonymous this is quite entertaining. This person obviously does not see the irony and I doubt would have the nerve to confront them anyway.
