Green energy "Back to the Future"-style

In Back to the Future, the DeLorean time machine ran on fuel derived from household garbage. Well, lamely stated, back to the future is now. England is using this technology - where garbage waste is converted into electricity - for ... wait for it ... their garbage trucks! Of course, the majority of the electricity is being sent to the power grid, but still, that's pretty sweet. Apparently there is one down-side:
Of course, environment-friendly doesn’t necessarily mean “safe”: because it’s electric, the vehicle is just about silent, and could pose a danger for unaware pedestrians. Residents of this small, already-quiet town might need to start looking before crossing the street: a driver of the truck already admitted two near-misses in one morning.

Why not put some kind of alarm system on the truck, like many beep loudly when going in reverse?

A product that is picked up for a fee and can be recycled for a fee may be a way to keep our cities and states in much needed funds.

It is crazy but it just might work.

I'm a little late to this blog...

Maybe this would stimulate or economy a little and the city might earn more money and gas prices might go down a little.

But of course, I'm not a political person, but it's just a thought.
