Fallon sings about Foxx

For those who don't know, I was a campaign manager for Roger Sharpe's unsuccessful congressional bid against Rep. Virginia Foxx in 2006. Recently on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," Fallon sang a "slow news jam" about the stimulus package, Nancy Pelosi, Republican Governors, and Rep. Foxx. Kinda amusing, but you have to sit through a sweet preview to Watchmen first.

Be honest, Drew. First the Square Root Day business, now this.

You're a geek, in the tank for Watchmen.

The jig is up, friend. :-P

Guilty. I totally spent the day, instead of paying attention during training, playing with my calculator. The square root of 9 is 3. The square root of 9 is 3. The square root ... oh ... the Watchmen. Coooooool. The square root of 9 is 3.

Another thing those may not know is that I was on that campaign as well (as a volunteer). Unless you were here (Drew has abandoned me and absconded to VA), I'm not sure you can appreciate how hilarious this is.

2010 is going to be interesting.

You did what instead of paying attention to training?!

How delightful, Virginia Foxx (aka in North Carolina as the Wicked Witch of the West), got mentioned on the Fallon show. This is really hilarious.

Maybe they won't notice when you get out in the field that all you can remember from the important training is that the square root of 9 is 3.
