The economy is in full-blown recession. Home values are dropping. The commonwealth is shedding jobs. State and local services are being cut to the bone. During these dark days, Virginians needs a distraction. They need the comical antics of state GOP Chairman Jeff Frederick. Some Republican leaders have had it with Frederick, who took over the party less than a year ago. On his watch, Democrats have fared well. Barack Obama carried the state, Mark Warner won an open Senate seat, and the Ds now have a majority of the commonwealth's congressional delegation.
After listing five Frederick-ian blunders, the editorial concludes:Virginians need a laugh these days more than ever. The GOP shouldn't deny them Frederick.

I'm all for Frederick staying on RPV. Awesome. Let them tire themselves out with in-fighting and sad, tired missives with racist, homophobic, xenophobic overtones. If we're going to get anything done, it'll be with a nice, weak Republican party.
DEMS 2K9!!
I expect to be asked in the upcoming weeks what I think about this. My response is that I don't give a damn. All I care about is taking back the 5th District. I couldn't care less who's in charge in Richmond - it doesn't make a dime's worth of difference to anybody.
