Keira Knightley in Domestic Violence Ad

I'm infatuated with Keira Knightley. I think she is a brilliant actress, and as such, I am happy to see that her starring in an advertisement to raise awareness about Domestic Violence:
The actress filmed a spot about the dangers of domestic violence, in which she gets beaten by a fictional boyfriend who believes she is having an affair.
[...]
Keira said: 'I wanted to take part in this advert for Women's Aid because while domestic violence exists in every section of society we rarely hear about it."
The ad will air later this week in Britain. You can see it here:

Maybe it's just because of the characters she chooses to portray (see Bend it Like Beckham, Pride & Prejudice, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc) but I've always felt like Keira Knightley was the kind of person who doesn't let people push her around. Her characters tend to be women who play against type, headstrong and with very clear ideas about how they should live their own lives. I think because of that impression, seeing her get kicked around was that much more shocking.

Good for her for doing this ad. As much as I hate to see her pretty face get all banged up, if it helps one abused woman get the guts to leaver her abuser, then it's well worth it.
